Appearance

Build: Lean. Toned enough to maintain her dexterity. Borders on petite in frame.
Hair: Wavy, rose-colored locks that reach mid-back. Sometimes worn up.
Eyes: A light, brighter shade of purple that is more akin to lilac. Limbal rings in both eyes are a deeper violet by comparison.
Distinguishing features:
While she is a Xaela, her scales are notably darker than the midnight blue tones others might have, instead being ebony in shade. Her back, when shown, is a landscape marked by faint scars; long remnants from lashings covering much of the area. Her left hand, no longer gloved, holds scarring from an old brand, several slashes cut through the mark.Yet perhaps the most noticeable feature is her left leg, or what has become of it. A couple ilms of scarring traces down near the knee and disappear into the prosthetic she wears from that point down. The device is an expertly crafted, Allagan-based design, darkly colored with lightly painted floral blossoms decorating the piece (painted carefully by her own hand). Her gait despite this is largely normal these days, even in heels and she wears it well.
Personality
A strong personality to counter her small frame, Rinalys has a demeanor that can be a contradiction at times. This of course depends largely on how well one might know her, or can read her. More perceptive types may pick up on differences between one meeting and the next.On a surface level, she holds boundless confidence. A sly grin might oft grace her features, along with a teasing word towards those she's comfortable enough around. Yet beneath the surface it's clear that there is far more to her. In her is a heart that cares deeply for those she is fond of, along with the desire to not be hurt. Not again.With those desires also comes a stubborn and reckless side, one that clearly doesn't think before springing to action. It has definitely gotten her in a fair share of trouble over the years, at that. While not necessarily a martyr to a cause, she just doesn't quite think ahead to possible consequences 90% of the time.While she might exude confidence, those closest to her know that it's all a ruse. Rinalys judges herself harshly when it comes to each misstep and perceived failure, and is prone to closing herself off for her own protection. She is working on it, yet there are years of work towards perceived 'perfection' to undo. To undo seeing herself as only having a use, instead of true value.Still, it is clear that before herself she cares greatly for others and their wellbeing. Even a perfect stranger is like to see such kindness and desire to protect that comes out of her. That nurturing side is something that comes out more and more as time goes on. These days she hopes at least to bring comfort to those that yet suffer, as her own way to bring them a bit of peace if not fighting for them. Even if it is just for that moment.

Common Hooks:
Present Work: The Red Lantern Society. Any familiar with this business may have seen her around as a regular fixture. Especially for, say, Coffee & Tease.
The Wandering Kind: The open road will always call to her, it's in her blood. It is possible that one might run into her out in a city. Or, more likely, in nature nearby.
'Former' Blade for Hire: Years ago, Rinalys had made much of her reputation as a hired blade. One who would take most jobs on either side of the morality scale, though she vastly preferred a righteous cause and might have been a sucker for more than a few sob stories in her time. Rumor says that with the right reasons she could still be hired, even if she doesn't seem to be looking.
Far from Home: Being a Xaela, her origins are as clear as the scales upon her skin. Yet she has never been seen among the tribes of the Azim Steppe, nor does she bear their name.
Taverns: In the past, she was notorious for finding her entertainment within the various taverns Eorzea has to offer. A bit of drink and a healthy number of tabs, she still will visit them on occasion to glean information or a prospective side job. Or other fun to be had, should one catch her looking.
Blitzball: An odd choice maybe, but she does enjoy the sport. She is a member of the EBL, returning for another season. This time around she represents the Ala Mhigo Liberators as one of their midfielders.
Less Common:
Past Work: The Midnight Pearl. A crew dedicated to being a guiding light to those in need and offering sanctuary for those facing troubling times, they saved her from facing her worst nightmare. Having sought sanctuary from them after, Rinalys made the decision to join their ranks and cause. To help others. To be saved in turn. While no longer under their banner, their cause still rings true to her.
Past Work: Priarch Enterprises. An old gig, really, that has always offered her steady employment while she was without. Working for Edarien Secariot was a part-time effort, but they allow her to come and go as she sees fit. A few of the seasoned members there still know her. She might turn up there again... after all, Edarien knows some of her darker secrets.
Spry Little Rogue: After obtaining her freedom from unfortunate circumstances, Rinalys was urged to seek out a certain group in Limsa, on account that with a good word they'd be able to help her on her feet as she sought independence. Fellow rogues might recall her from years back, though she does pay a visit on rare occasion. Even if she no longer seems to wield her formerly beloved stabbers.

I appreciate it if you made it this far. This section is mostly some housekeeping and rules so that we're on the same page. It's important, really. So please do read it if you're interested in roleplaying with me.
21+ Only, Please. I myself am 35+ and touch on no shortage of adult themes, so I would prefer to keep to those old enough to not cause any problems. With that said...
Mature themes {Violence, gore, blood, abuse, sexual themes, slavery} are all topics that are bound to come up in roleplay. It's going to be there inevitably or allude to it. If there is a topic that you do not wish to explore should we RP, please just communicate with me. Especially before it's made to be a problem. If something that's not listed here comes up that you're not good with, please, do bring it up too.
M/RP ≠ ERP. I reserve the right to be selective on who I might delve into ERP with, even with her current line of work. It will have IC reason most likely if it does happen, even if a simple one. If that's the only thing you're fishing for in an interaction then at least be up front about it. That's all I ask. But I very much prefer to have a little substance with it.
Communication is key. Things do happen and come up, the only thing that I'll ever ask is to be open and honest with me. I try to be very accommodating to partners and only ask the same in return. I am exceedingly patient and understanding when people are honest about circumstances. Just gotta be a bit open, that's all.
IC and OOC are separate things. I'm an adult with my own life, I am not my character. Our lives and experiences are entirely different. I expect that my partners can respect the lines.
